Continuation into Year 13

Students enrol onto 2 year courses of study and may continue on their chosen courses of study provided all course requirements are being met eg high attendance, meeting deadlines, making progress, role model behaviour and excellent attitudes to learning etc. The most successful learners secure End of Year 12 grades that are at or above their target grades.  For those who are still working towards their targets, continuation into Year 13 depends on their Year 12 record of eg attendance, attitude to learning etc as well as their future aspirations. Any student significantly underperforming or obtaining a grade U in a subject in their end of Year 12 assessments will meet with a member of the sixth form team to agree a plan of action and be carefully advised with regard to their options.
